ServiceNow passes $1 billion in AWS Marketplace transactions as companies accelerate AI at scale

ServiceNow and AWS announce AI collaboration for enterprise AI ServiceNow and AWS announce AI collaboration for enterprise AI
ServiceNow and AWS expand their AI collaboration with new AI agent integrations and AI Control Tower for enterprise AI.

ServiceNow and Amazon Web Services announced an expansion of their strategic partnership as enterprises rapidly scale the use of agent-based AI in mission-critical environments. The announcement comes as ServiceNow passed a major milestone of exceeding $1 billion in transactions through AWS Marketplace.

The new platform expansion introduces a common governance architecture built on ServiceNow AI Control Tower and Amazon Bedrock AgentCore. The collaboration also includes new AI agent integrations for security, IT operations, and telecom, as well as a developer integration that enables building and deploying ServiceNow applications directly from Kiro, AWS’s agent-based IDE.

ServiceNow says the $1 billion milestone reflects a broader shift in the market where companies are consolidating their AI infrastructure around platforms they already trust. The combination of AWS cloud and model infrastructure, along with ServiceNow’s orchestration, governance and workflow management, will enable companies to scale AI without having to rebuild existing environments from the ground up.

“AI leaders are now implementing the technology at scale across their most critical operations using a trusted governance architecture. ServiceNow and AWS are meeting that demand together,” said Jon Sigler, vice president and head of the AI platform at ServiceNow.

“ServiceNow’s orchestration and governance capabilities combined with AWS cloud and model infrastructure create the architecture required to enable this. The over $1 billion in AWS Marketplace transactions show that the market agrees,” he continues.

Chris Grusz, director of technology partnerships at AWS, describes the development as a clear step from experimentation to operational AI at scale.

“Organizations are no longer experimenting with AI, they are operationalizing it. ServiceNow and AWS deliver the architecture needed to make this possible through unified governance, trusted infrastructure, and developer tools that take AI from idea to production,” said Chris Grusz.

Shared governance for enterprise AI

According to the companies, many companies face challenges when AI agents are built on different models and managed by different teams without central overview or common governance.

Amazon Bedrock AgentCore will serve as the flexible foundation for building AI agents on the models and infrastructures that customers already use, while ServiceNow AI Control Tower becomes the central control plane for governing and monitoring AI agents across the business.

Matt Payne, Senior Vice President at TEKsystems Global Services, says the company is already using the solution both internally and in customer environments.

“ServiceNow’s AI Control Tower gives us enterprise-wide governance to deploy and manage AI agents with greater confidence, both in our own operations and at customers with complex environments,” says Matt Payne.

AI agents for security, IT operations and telecom

ServiceNow and AWS also present several practical use cases where AI agents collaborate to automate and streamline mission-critical workflows.

For example, in cybersecurity, ServiceNow’s Vulnerability Resolution AI Specialist can work with AWS Security Agent to automatically conduct penetration tests, analyze risk levels, and suggest actions before human approval. Security updates can then be deployed and permissions can be automatically restricted before final verification.

For IT operations, AI specialists from ServiceNow, working with AWS DevOps agents, can identify anomalies from Amazon CloudWatch, correlate events, and take action with human approval before issues escalate into larger incidents.

In telecom, the solution is used for customer service where Amazon Connect, AWS infrastructure and ServiceNow Telecommunications Service Management are integrated in real time to analyze customer cases, network quality and billing history and recommend actions or initiate field service when necessary.

Direct integration with Kiro

As part of the initiative, ServiceNow is also integrating its SDK directly with Kiro via the Kiro Power Marketplace.

It enables developers to build ServiceNowapplications and AI agents directly from the AWS development environment without leaving the IDE. At the same time, developers gain access to ServiceNow’s enterprise governance and security features without additional configuration.

Availability

ServiceNow AI Control Tower with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore is now available through AWS Marketplace.

Integrations for ServiceNow Vulnerability Resolution AI Specialist, AIOps AI Specialist, and Site Reliability Engineering AI Specialist are expected to be available later this year.

The telecom solution is already available as part of ServiceNow Telecommunications Service Management, while the ServiceNow SDK for Kiro is now available via the Kiro Power Marketplace.
