Copyright and content protection policy for the IT industry describes how we protect journalistic material, news articles, analyses, interviews, images, graphics, video material, design, databases, digital publications, social media content and other intangible assets.

1. Introduction

The IT industry invests significant editorial, creative, technical and commercial resources in the production of journalistic material, news articles, analyses, interviews, images, graphics, video material, design, databases, digital publications, social media content and other intangible assets.

All material published on IT-Branschen is protected under Swedish copyright law, EU law, database protection, trademark law and applicable international intellectual property law rules.

By using the IT-Branschen website, the visitor accepts these terms and conditions.

2. Ownership of content

Unless otherwise expressly stated, all material on IT-Branschen is the exclusive property of InterFlex Group AB and IT industry.

This includes, among other things:

  • Photographs

  • Web design

All such property is protected under Act (1960:729) on Copyright in Literary and Artistic Works, EU data protection and other applicable legislation.

3. Prohibition of copying and republication

The following is expressly prohibited without written permission from IT-Branschen:

  • Copying articles in whole or in part
  • Republishing editorial material
  • Mirroring content on another website
  • Rewriting that essentially reproduces the IT Industry's original content
  • Copying of headings, introductions, structure or summaries
  • Copying images, graphics, feature images or visual elements
  • Reuse of logos or design materials
  • Bulk extraction of metadata or article databases
  • Copying video or social media posts
  • Commercial use without a license
  • Content extraction for SEO or traffic generation
  • Data collection via scraping, bots, scripts or automated systems
  • Mirroring or reproduction of archival material
  • Removal of copyright information, watermarks or metadata

4. Competitors' use of IT industry materials

Competitors, media players, news aggregators, commercial database services, AIsystems, analytics platforms and other third parties may not:

  • Publish about IT industry content
  • Reproducing or systematically using headlines or article excerpts
  • Using IT Industry images or visual assets
  • Create competitive content based on systematic extraction
  • Mirroring or indexing editorial material for commercial purposes
  • Reusing content for SEO, traffic diversion, or commercial exploitation

Unauthorized use may result in legal action.

5. AI, scraping and automated use prohibited

The IT industry explicitly prohibits:

  • AI scraping
  • Content harvesting
  • Bot traffic for extraction
  • Data mining
  • Automated republishing
  • RSS abuse
  • Machine indexing for commercial purposes
  • AI model training on IT industry material
  • Input of IT industry material into external commercial databases
  • Systematic extraction of articles, headlines, metadata or images

Such use may constitute infringement of copyright, database protection and unauthorized commercial exploitation.

6. Image and graphic protection

All images, feature images, photographs, illustrations, banners, graphic elements, advertisements, logos and visual assets published by IT-Branschen are protected by copyright.

It is prohibited to:

  • Copying or republishing images
  • Take screenshots for commercial publication
  • Crop out watermark or source
  • Editing or manipulating IT industry visual materials
  • Using graphics in your own publication
  • Reuse ads or promotional materials

Written permission is required for all reuse.

7. Database protection

The IT industry's databases, article archives, metadata, taxonomies, categorizations, content structures, publication archives and digital registers are also protected according to EU rules on database protection.

Systematic extraction, reuse or commercial exploitation of all or part of the database is prohibited.

8. Limited citation

Quotation may only be made to a limited extent and under the following conditions:

  • Only minor excerpts
  • Clear source reference to the IT industry
  • Direct link to original article
  • No misleading use
  • No use of images or graphics without permission
  • No commercial republishing

This does not give the right to republish articles, summaries or feature images in whole or in substantial part.

9. Monitoring and legal enforcement

The IT industry actively monitors unauthorized use of its content through, among other things:

  • Plagiarism check
  • Image tracking
  • Metadata monitoring
  • Search engine monitoring
  • Database protection control
  • Hosting notifications
  • Takedown processes
  • Legal follow-up

In the event of an intrusion, the IT industry can take measures such as:

  • Immediate removal requirements
  • Copyright notifications
  • Google deindexation request
  • Hosting provider complaints
  • Social media copyright claims
  • Damage claim
  • Interim prohibitions
  • Legal processes
  • Compensation claims for financial damage
  • Claim for compensation for legal costs

10. Legal penalty for infringement

Unauthorized use of IT-Branschen's content may constitute a violation of:

  • Copyright Act (1960:729)
  • EU Copyright Directive
  • EU database protection
  • Trademark law
  • Market law
  • International intellectual property law

The IT Industry reserves the right to take all available legal measures to protect its intellectual property.

11. Permits and licensing

For companies, media or organizations that wish to:

  • Cite larger excerpts
  • Republish material
  • License articles
  • Using images
  • Using graphics
  • Initiate content collaborations
  • Syndicate content

Written approval from the IT industry is required in advance.

12. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These terms and conditions are governed by Swedish law.

Disputes arising from the use of IT-Branschen's content or website shall be settled exclusively by Swedish courts with Stockholm District Court as first instance.

13. Reservation of rights

IT-Branschen / InterFlex Group AB reserves all rights to its content, databases, images, visual assets, design materials, editorial works, trademarks and other intellectual property rights.

Unauthorized use is prohibited and may result in legal consequences.
