EY Sweden returns to Almedalen Week 2026 with a focus on AI, security, sustainability and societal development. Over three days, EY will arrange eleven seminars, panel discussions and meetings between business, the public sector and decision-makers in Visby.
EY has been an active part of Almedalen Week since 2006, and this year's presence marks the company's 20th participation in Almedalen. Once again, dialogue, collaboration and future issues are at the center of attention through open seminars, roundtable discussions and interactive experiences.

– Almedalen is an important arena for discussing how Sweden should navigate the intersection of AI, security and sustainability. EY’s 20th participation in Almedalen Week reflects our long-term commitment to the societal issues that shape Sweden’s future. When conditions change rapidly, solution-oriented conversations are required. It is also necessary that we translate insights into action. With our activities, we want to contribute to sustainable solutions that make a real difference, says Linda Anderson, Head of Public Sector at EY in the Nordics.
Four Futures of AI shows possible future scenarios
During this year's Almedalen Week, presents EY the interactive experience Four Futures of AI. The concept shows how today's decisions around AI, governance and accountability can shape different future scenarios for society, business and competitiveness up to the year 2030.
Through four possible future scenarios, visitors get a concrete picture of how strategic choices in AI can affect innovation, regulation, security and economic development. The aim is to create a concrete basis for discussions about how AI should be used in both the public sector and business.
EY records podcast live from Almedalen
For the first time, the EY Nordic Fit For Future Podcast will be recorded live from Almedalen. The podcast will focus on current issues from the week through shorter conversations of approximately 15 minutes where EY experts meet external guests and participants from the seminars.
The initiative will make the discussions and insights from Almedalen available even to those who are not participating in person in Visby.
Seminars on AI, defense, energy and health tech
EY open seminars are a central part of the presence during Almedalen Week 2026. Over three days, eleven seminars will be arranged with a focus on AI, energy transition, sustainability, the defense sector and digital transformation.
This year's themes include Sweden's defense skills supply, AI-driven competitiveness, and how digital transformation impacts preparedness and innovation. Discussions also touch on energy transition, sustainable business models, and future health tech solutions.
All activities take place at Amici Belli, Strandgatan 11 in Visby.
