Agora enables Azure customers to leverage data from hybrid and multi-cloud environments to accelerate AI initiatives with intelligent agents.
PALO ALTO, California – Denodo, a leading data management player and Microsoft AI Cloud Partner, announces that Agora, the company's fully managed cloud service, is now available through the Microsoft Marketplace.
Agora offers out-of-the-box integrations with several of Microsoft's key data services, including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) Gen2, Power BI, and Azure Synapse Analytics. The platform also integrates with services such as Azure OpenAI and Azure Databricks.
By combining Agora with Microsoft’s AI and data platforms, organizations can leverage data from more than 200 different source systems, including on-premises environments, SaaS applications, and other cloud platforms. The goal is to provide AI agents with access to timely and reliable data while maintaining data sovereignty, security, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Connecting AI agents with data outside the Microsoft ecosystem
Agora complements Microsoft Fabric's semantic intelligence capabilities by acting as a logical data access layer between AI agents and mission-critical data that resides outside of Microsoft's own platforms.
While Microsoft Fabric provides semantic understanding and orchestration for AI agents through Fabric IQ, Agora enables real-time data retrieval and consumption from external systems such as SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Snowflake, and hundreds of other data sources in on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.
The architecture supports multiple types of AI agents, from Microsoft Copilot agents that use Agora's integration with the Model Context Protocol (MCP), to custom AI solutions developed in Microsoft Foundry that retrieve data via Agora's API.
The platform also includes an integrated data marketplace that enables Power BI users and other business users to discover, access, and consume enterprise data through the same semantic layers used by AI agents, creating a common information foundation where both humans and AI systems work from the same business definitions and context.
Real-time data for next-generation AI solutions
Together with Microsoft's AI and data services, Agora empowers organizations to build solutions for real-time decisions, hyper-personalized customer experiences, automated workflows, and other advanced AI scenarios that require direct access to distributed data.
By working with live data, the risk of data inconsistencies is reduced while organizations ensure that analyses, recommendations and automated decisions are always based on the latest available information.
To support secure and controlled data access, Agora integrates with Microsoft Entra ID and offers features such as attribute-based access control, complete data traceability, and centralized policy management even for data sources outside the Microsoft ecosystem.
Microsoft sees increased demand for agent-based AI
“Microsoft is excited to welcome Agora to Microsoft Azure and the Microsoft Marketplace. Together with Denodo, we look forward to helping enterprises accelerate their agent-based AI initiatives, especially in complex hybrid, multi-cloud, and data-sovereign environments,” said David E., says Jake Zborowski, Head of Microsoft Azure Platform at Microsoft.
Agora is available through the Microsoft Marketplace with several different licensing models, including free trials, private offers, annual subscriptions, and consumption-based pricing.
The solution is also eligible for Microsoft's co-sell program and can be used within the framework of customers' Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment (MACC).
Flexibility and scalability for companies with complex data environments
– By making Agora available on the Microsoft Marketplace and offering seamless integrations with Microsoft's AI and data services, we are providing our joint customers with a powerful platform for agent-based AI solutions that can leverage the entire organization's data assets, regardless of where the information resides, says Suresh Chandrasekaran, Executive Vice President at Denodo.
– Agora on Microsoft Marketplace offers a combination of flexibility, scalability, cost-effectiveness and ease of use that helps companies realize the value of their AI investments faster
