Samsung to showcase latest in mobile AI at MWC 2025

Samsung showcases Galaxy AI and software solutions at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona at the beginning of March.

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.. will showcase the latest AI features at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona from March 3-6. Samsung representatives from Mobile eXperience (MX) and Network will present the latest AI innovations, all updates within Galaxy AI[1] and various networks where software is the focus.

The aim is to showcase the company's vision for how users can benefit from various AI tools. This includes seeing how they are applied in the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy A Series and Project Moohan – Samsung’s first XR headset. Visitors will also get an exclusive look at the Galaxy S25 Edge, the thinnest Galaxy S device yet. They will also explore how AI could shape the future of health and the smart home.

Experience the full potential of the Galaxy S25

The new Galaxy S25 series changes the way people interact with their mobile phones. In addition to the focus on AI, the devices also offer state-of-the-art cameras and performance. In addition, Galaxy S25 series to solve the following tasks for the user in a smooth and secure way. Below is what Samsung will showcase during MWC in Barcelona:

The Samsung Galaxy S25 series' advanced camera technology offers:

  • Drawing Assist[7]: Users can take content creation to the next level through intelligent sketches.
  • Gallery Search[8]: Voice-based searches make finding images easier.
  • Filters: Offers unique portrait effects and new filter options. Add a personal touch to your photos.

Last but not least, visitors can take part in experiences:

  • Snapdragon® 8 Elite for Galaxy: The custom-designed processor in collaboration with Qualcomm boosts performance to the limit. Enjoy high-speed gaming, increased responsiveness, and higher image quality.
  • Beyond Galaxy The S25 series allows visitors to see Samsung's thinnest design yet on the ultra-thin Galaxy S25 Edge.

Samsung will also showcase the new Galaxy A series, which includes the Galaxy A56 5G, A36 5G and A26 5G. With the new AI technology Awesome Intelligence, more users will be able to enjoy Galaxy AI. The Galaxy A series also takes the camera experience to the next level with editing tools like Object Eraser. The new A series expands Samsung’s AI-powered innovations and delivers reliable performance and increased durability, supported by six OS upgrades and six years of security updates.

Enhancing everyday life with the help of AI

Visitors to MWC 2025 will also see how Samsung products and services improve everyday life at home. Here, they can take advantage of insights linked to their well-being through intelligent and connected experiences. This includes energy scores, health tips and sleep insights. These features provide a holistic view of the user's well-being, tailored to individual data and interests. These are integrated with apps such as SmartThings and Samsung Food to provide a better overall experience.

Innovation built on Galaxy

Security is at the core of Samsung’s AI development, ensuring that every experience is built on user control, transparency and robust protection. In a Galaxy Foundation zone, visitors will learn about the Personal Data Engine[9]—which ensures that personal data generated on the device is protected from access by apps other than Galaxy AI and secured by Knox Vault[10].

Samsung will also showcase its first Android XR headset, “Project Moohan.” Codenamed for the first headset built for the XR platform, it will offer users a new level of interactive experience. “Moohan,” which means infinity in Korean, represents Samsung’s vision to deliver unparalleled, immersive experiences in an infinite digital world. Samsung’s XR platform will also support third-party developers, meaning users can take advantage of a wide range of apps and services – all integrated into the Samsung Galaxy ecosystem.

A comprehensive software network – with the help of AI

Samsung will be showcasing its next-generation AI-powered networks alongside innovative mobile technology in a private booth. As a global leader in virtual and open networks, Samsung offers complete software-based solutions to operators.

Other highlights at the booth include Samsung’s RAN (vRAN) solution, the latest 5G radios, and Samsung CognitiV Network Operations Suite (NOS), an intelligent network automation solution. Various 5G solutions tailored for enterprises will also be on display.

Samsung will also showcase its continued commitment to software-defined networking by leveraging its strong partner network, including servers, processors (CPU, GPU), cloud platforms and transport solutions. Visitors will also see how Samsung CognitiV NOS can offer significant benefits to telecom operators.

One of the most eye-catching parts of the booth is the 5G Private Network Zone. Samsung, in collaboration with Hyundai, has conducted the industry’s first end-to-end Reduced Capability (RedCap) test over a private 5G network. Using Samsung’s advanced private 5G solutions, the companies aim to showcase the potential of next-generation industrial 5G connectivity, including improved battery life and energy efficiency among 5G IoT devices.
