Samsung launches today Galaxy Watch8 and Galaxy Watch8 Classic [1]Both models feature an updated design with soft, rounded shapes – a design language that was previously unique to the Ultra model but now characterizes the entire new Galaxy Watch8 series. The Galaxy Watch8 series combines advanced technology for high performance and better precision for various measurements. It has a new construction that makes the watch both thinner and more comfortable to wear. With a more efficient mounting system and a revised internal design, the thickness has been reduced by 11 percent compared to previous models. The Dynamic Lug system, which improves the strap attachment, allows the watch follows the movements of the wrist in a natural way and provides a better fit, increased comfort2 and more reliable measurements.
The display is up to 50 percent brighter than before2, now reaching 3,000 nits, making it easy to read even in bright sunlight. Dual-frequency GPS gives you more accurate location data. A good night's sleep is often crucial for recovery. Therefore, continue Samsung to develop their sleep functions with personalized tips and advice to help the user achieve better sleep quality. Among the new features is also the possibility of receiving early indications of signs that may indicate sleep apnea.

Whether you're a beginner or an experienced runner, you'll get personalized training analytics with the Galaxy Watch8 series. Running Coach [6]assesses your level on a scale of 1 to 10 and creates a personalized training program with guidance and encouragement in real time. With The Together feature, which now supports running, you can challenge friends and family to make training more fun and keep you motivated.

At high stress levels you get a High Stress Alert. A reminder that you may need to breathe and you can take a break. With Mindfulness Tracker, you can easily record your mood and get breathing exercises for quick recovery, right on your wrist.

The Galaxy Watch8 series also includes several new features in the Samsung Health app [8] which gives you quick and motivating feedback about sleep, diet and exercise.
Smarter use with Wear OS 6 and Gemini
The Galaxy Watch8 series is the first smartwatch to ship with Wear OS 6 and Google Gemini [9]. You can control the watch with your voice, for example by saying “Start a circuit workout with a goal of burning 300 calories” or “Start a 20-minute run.” The workout will then automatically start in Samsung Health.
The new user interface One UI 8 Watch is tailored to the watch's format and makes it easy to find important features. Multi-Info Tiles provide an overview of health, weather and calendar. The Now Bar and new notifications help you quickly see what matters most, right on the screen.
