Søren Gjevert Petersen has been appointed Head of Security Services at GlobalConnect, a newly created role with responsibility for the company's security solutions for enterprise customers.
Søren has previously been Head of Security for the company’s operations in Denmark and Germany, but most recently came from the role of Head of Security at IT company Aeven. In his new role, he will have overall responsibility for gathering and developing the group’s security solutions and consulting – with the goal of strengthening protection for all 30,000 corporate customers.
“I have a good understanding of what is important for security managers at our customers because I have held the same role myself. I now bring that experience into my new position, both in advising customers and in ensure that GlobalConnects portfolio of security solutions corresponds to both the threat landscape and the challenges they face in real life. Many large organizations are currently working to ensure that their IT infrastructure complies with the EU's new NIS 2directive, and I have been deeply involved in that work myself in the past,” says Søren Gjevert Petersen.
Security is an integral part of GlobalConnects services – from network solutions to cloud services. In his role, Søren will be responsible for the security of the company's products and for coordinating security solutions on the market, so that GlobalConnect can even better meet the overall needs of customers.
With over 20 years of experience in IT and security roles, Søren has a solid background. Before his previous period at GlobalConnect He was Head of Security within the Telia Group. Søren took up his new role on 1 November.
