Launch of Finance-as-a-Service

Kleer introduces FaaS to offer automated finance and payroll services as a subscription.

Automation and strategic insights

The company has automated up to 95% of accounting and now wants to offer financial insights for growth.

Inspiration from the development of IT operations

FaaS is based on the same principle as cloud-based IT operations to free up resources and reduce internal infrastructure.

New brand and market position

With the name change to Kleer, the company is positioning itself as a comprehensive solution that differs from traditional accounting.

The automated financial and payroll service PE Accounting changes name to Kleer and launches a new product category. Finance as a Service (FaaS) – a complete solution for finance and payroll, combining leading software and finance expertise for a fixed monthly cost. Now Kleer wants to eliminate the need for complex internal infrastructure for companies using FaaS.

“FaaS is the future of finance. We reduce complexity, so our customers can focus on growth,” says Pontus Björnsson, CEO at Kleer.

Market leader in automation of financial and payroll processes

Kleer (formerly PE Accounting), has been a leading player in the automation of financial and payroll processes for 13 years with an industry focus on the SaaS and consulting industry. Now they are taking the next step in their development and launching Finance-as-a-Service (FaaS) on the Swedish market. The concept sets a new standard for how companies can grow without having to scale up their internal finance functions.

FaaS is the future of finance. We reduce complexity, so our customers can focus on growth

– “We have laid over a decade of automating processes. For the next ten years, we will focus on giving companies insights that create smarter and faster growth,” says Olle Rydqvist”, co-founder of Kleer.

A new product category that challenges tradition

Finance on a subscription basis – where both technology and consulting are included. Kleer positions itself as a pioneer by conceptualizing financial management as a subscription service. With Finance-as-a-Service, Kleer eliminates the need for separate systems and gives companies everything they need in one solution.

– “For 13 years, we have revolutionized our industry by automating up to 95% of accounting. With “At Kleer, we are now taking the next step – from automation to insights. Our ambition is to make the finance function a strategic engine for growth and profitability through financial clarity,” says Pontus Bjornsson, CEO at Kleer.

A new era for financial management – inspired by the evolution of IT operations

In line with developments, a new need has been discovered among companies, where the management of finances and salary has started to follow the same development as IT operations. Previously, companies invested heavily in their own IT infrastructure, but the transition to outsourced IT operations and cloud-based services has freed up resources for more strategic initiatives. Finance-as-a-Service (FaaS) is based on the same principle – that external experts manage operations, systems and processes, which means CFO:s, financial managers and business leaders can prioritize change work, follow-up and strategic decisions.

A brand that stands out from the competition

The name change marks a clear shift from traditional accounting to a comprehensive financial management solution through FaaS, setting a new standard for how companies manage finances, payroll and growth.

– “By creating our own product category, we stop being compared to suppliers of individual modules or hourly billing. What we offer is a complete financial management subscription, where automation, expertise and real-time insights make the financial function a central driver for the company's growth. It's about more than just efficiency – we provide Finance company the tools to make faster and smarter decisions that drive the core business forward,” says Anna Björkeryd, brand manager at Kleer.
