Data Energy Centers®: A new standard for sustainability and efficiency
T.Loop's Data Energy Center® is based on a simple but revolutionary idea: using unused space in commercial properties to run data centers while helping to reduce the carbon footprint.
In our first project, which was completed in 2023, the data center was established in the basement of an existing office building. By using the existing infrastructure, such as ventilation, cooling systems and unused network capacity, we were able to reduce both costs and environmental impact. The excess heat generated from the servers is used to heat the building, which covers 60 % of the property's heating needs without additional energy-intensive equipment.
Data Energy Center® has a negative climate impact of -8 tons of CO2 equivalent per year and 10 MW of IT load, which means that 10 MW IT load can reduce emissions by almost 80,000 tons of CO2 equivalent, equivalent to 300 cars driving around the world 1,000 times.
T.Loop's concept demonstrates the potential of using unused energy capacity in urban environments. Aimed at office buildings, industrial areas and shopping malls, it demonstrates T.Loop how sustainability and scalability can go hand in hand.
