BYD Group, the world's leading manufacturer of plug-in hybrids and fully electric vehicles, will unveil no fewer than eight new models at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The programme includes everything from global world premieres to UK and European launches.

At the center of attention is the premium brand DENZA, where the festival will not only be a stage for two global premieres and a European debut, but also marks the brand's official launch in the UK.
DENZA in focus
The festival will be particularly important for DENZA, which is presenting several new models for the European market.
The DENZA Z Coupé and DENZA Z Racing both make their world premieres at Goodwood. The two all-electric sports cars build on the “Pure Emotion” design language first unveiled with DENZA Z Spider during Auto China 2026 in Beijing.
The coupe model shares its powertrain with the Spider version. The three-motor powertrain enables a top speed of 350 km/h while offering four seats and a generous luggage compartment.
The racing version takes performance one step further with a more aggressive carbon fiber aerodynamic package.
DENZA is also showcasing the BAO 5 for the first time in Europe. The rugged SUV model uses DM-o (Dual Mode Off-Road) technology, which combines three electric motors with a turbocharged 2.0-liter gasoline engine. The solution is designed to provide both electric performance and off-road capabilities along with a long range.
Goodwood also marks DENZA's official entry into the British market. Z9GT will be the first model to be launched in the UK and will then be followed by the D9 DM-i.
The D9 DM-i is a premium MPV with a focus on comfort and technology. The two middle seats offer a massage function and can be reclined up to 45 degrees. All seven seats have both heating and ventilation. The luggage compartment amounts to at least 430 liters with full passenger capacity.
The plug-in hybrid electric powertrain offers up to 210 kilometers of WLTP range and a total output of 353 horsepower.
BYD launches two important models in the UK
After the world premiere in Berlin on June 10th DOLPHIN G makes DM-i now its first British screening.
The model will be the only supermini on the market with a plug-in hybrid powertrain and offers a total range of up to 1,036 kilometers. BYD also highlights class-leading practicality and a luggage space that surpasses several larger family cars.
The SHARK pickup truck also makes its European debut during the festival. The model is equipped with a 435 horsepower DM-o-charging hybrid powertrain.
SHARK accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds, offers an electric range of 88 kilometers and has a towing capacity of 2,500 kilograms.

YANGWANG takes place at Goodwood
The luxury brand YANGWANG will also play an important role during the festival.
YANGWANG U9 Xtreme The model is being shown for the first time in the UK. It has previously set a lap record for electric production cars on the Nürburgring Nordschleife with a time of 6:59.157 and reached a top speed of 308.4 mph.
The presence at Goodwood also marks the model's availability to European customers.
YANGWANG is also showcasing the U7 luxury sedan. The model is offered in both plug-in hybrid and all-electric versions and is equipped with the e⁴ four-motor powertrain, four-wheel steering and the active DiSus-Z suspension.

More than just cars
BYD Group's facility will be the largest in the history of the Goodwood Festival of Speed and will offer much more than just vehicles.
Visitors will have access to a dedicated technology zone, an off-road area, robot demonstrations, driving simulators, a merchandise store, and a rooftop terrace for guests and partners.
With a total of eight premieres from three different brands, BYD Group is using this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed to showcase the breadth of the group's electrified model range and its ambitions in the European market.
