Atheist launches Model as a Service, a fully managed AI platform that allows companies, municipalities and authorities to develop and use advanced AI without investing in their own AI infrastructure. The service is delivered in a Nordic environment and strengthens customers' security, compliance and independence.

Developing, operating and managing a modern AI platform requires complex infrastructure and large investments that many organizations cannot afford.

– Advanced AI should not be exclusive to companies that have the resources to build their own platforms. We make AI accessible to many more people, so they can move from idea to reality, says Urban Jarved, Product Owner for Model as a Service at Atea

Avancerad AI ska inte vara något exklusivt för företag som har resurser att bygga egna plattformar. Vi gör AI tillgängligt för många fler, så att de kan komma vidare från idé till verklighet

With Model as a Service customers gain access to advanced AI models via secure APIs. Atea is responsible for operations, security, updates and regulatory compliance.

The IT consulting company Twoday has been using the service since last spring as the basis for parts of its AI business.

“In just a few weeks, we had a production-ready AI platform. We can focus fully on developing AI solutions for our customers instead of building and operating our own infrastructure,” says Andreas Blom, Head of Development at Twoday.

Model as a Service makes it possible to combine different AI models and services in the same environment. Users retain control over data, integrations, and use cases, while avoiding lock-in to a single model, technology, or vendor.

– AI development is moving extremely fast. Therefore, organizations need to be able to easily develop or re-plan their AI strategy. Model as a Service gives them that freedom, along with control, security and digital independence, says Linus Wallin, CEO of Atea Sweden

Atea's Model as a Service is developed in the Nordics and delivered in a Nordic environment to strengthen customers' digital sovereignty. It is designed for organizations with high demands on control over data, technology and AI use. It creates the conditions for safe AI use while allowing organizations to meet increased regulatory requirements.

Model as a Service is now available in all Nordic countries.
