Performance and coverage

Products offer tri-band speeds up to 19-22 Gbps wireless and 10 Gbps wired.

Design with a focus on the home

The design of the router and mesh system is created to be visible and optimally placed in the home for better performance.

At IFA 2026, TP-Link will unveil the world’s first complete WiFi-8 series, led by the Archer 8 Ultra router and the Deco 8 Ultra mesh system. The new Archer 8 Ultra and Deco 8 Ultra combine next-generation Wi-Fi technology with TP-Link’s new StabilityEngine to deliver more stable and reliable connections in the home.

TP-Link is introducing two products in its new Wi-Fi 8 portfolio at IFA 2026: the Archer 8 Ultra router and the Deco 8 Ultra mesh system. The two products are based on the upcoming Wi-Fi standard IEEE 802.11bn and also introduce TP-Link's new Wi-Fi 8 StabilityEngine.

When a router gets a design that people want to have standing in front of them, it also ends up where it works best.

With the Archer 8 Ultra and Deco 8 Ultra, TP-Link builds on its work with Wi-Fi 8 and combines the upcoming standard with proprietary hardware and software. With the new products, TP-Link aims to address some of the challenges that typically affect home networking, such as poor coverage far from the router to many devices competing for network capacity and interference from other wireless signals.

Central to the two launches is Wi-Fi 8 Stability Engine, which brings together a range of technologies focused on improving coverage, handling many simultaneous devices, and reducing interference.

Briefly about Archer 8 Ultra and Deco 8 Ultra
Archer 8 Ultra is a tri-band Wi-Fi 8 router with combined wireless speeds of up to 19 Gbps and wired connections of up to 10 Gbps. The router has 18 built-in antennas designed to help provide strong and stable coverage throughout your home.

Deco 8 Ultra is a tri-band Wi-Fi 8 mesh system with combined wireless speeds of up to 22 Gbps* and wired connections of up to 10 Gbps. A system with three Deco units can cover up to 1,000 square feet and support more than 200 connected devices.

Wi-Fi 8 with a focus on stability
While previous generations of Wi-Fi have largely been associated with higher peak speeds, stability and smoother performance under the conditions where the network is actually being used is a central focus for Wi-Fi 8.

TP-Link's Wi-Fi 8 StabilityEngine combines a range of new technologies that each contribute to a more stable connection:

  • Enhanced Long Range (ELR) and Distributed Resource Units (DRU) – improves coverage in the most remote corners of the home and connectivity to devices that are far from the router or have low transmission power.
  • Non-Primary Channel Access (NPCA) – helps keep the network responsive when many devices are connected at the same time.
  • Unequal Modulation (UEQM) and new Modulation and Coding Schemes (MCS) – helps maintain smoother data transmission, even when the connection is affected by interference.

When form and function meet
Although the location of the router has a great impact on wireless coverage, many routers are still hidden due to their design. TP-Link has tried to change that with the Archer 8 Ultra and Deco 8 Ultra, both of which are designed to be visible in the front of the home without disturbing the interior design – and thus also be easier to place where the connection is best.

The Archer 8 Ultra has a minimalist, architectural look with a two-part front and a subtle pattern that changes depending on the light. The classic indicator lights have also been replaced by a discreet light that shows the router's status.

Deco 8 Ultra builds on the well-known Deco design with a compact shape, a matte finish and rounded edges.

“We stopped thinking of the router as a traditional networking device and instead started designing with the home in mind. When a router is designed to be in front of people, it also ends up where it works best,” says Gary Chang, Lead Industrial Designer at TP-Link.

Experience the new products at IFA 2026
Both the Archer 8 Ultra and Deco 8 Ultra will be on display at IFA 2026 in Berlin, where visitors can experience the two new Wi-Fi 8 products at TP-Link's booth in Hall 7.2C, Booth 101.

Additionally, TP-Link will unveil the Archer 8 Ultra and Deco 8 Ultra at a global online launch event on September 30, 2026, where TP-Link will share more about the Wi-Fi 8 portfolio.

Price and availability
Archer 8 Ultra will be available for pre-order in select regions starting September 30, 2026. Pricing and local availability for Deco 8 Ultra will be announced at a later date.

The rest of TP-Link's Wi-Fi 8 series will be expanded with mesh systems, travel routers, and accessories, with the following planned availability:

• Deco 8 (Wi-Fi 8 mesh system) – Q1 2027

• Roam 8 (Wi-Fi 8 travel router) – Q2 2027

• Wi-Fi 8 extenders and adapters – Q2 2027

Planned products, availability periods and specifications are subject to change and vary by region.

*Deco 8 Ultra model number and rated speed vary by region to comply with local regulations. Availability and specifications vary by market.
