Westcon-Comstor, a global technology distributor and leader in cybersecurity, networking and cloud solutions, has signed a significant strategic partnership with Cato Networks – a pioneer in Secure Access Service Edge (SASE). The agreement makes Westcon-Comstor an authorized Cato distributor in several key regions: Benelux, DACH, Nordics, Middle East and Africa. The collaboration strengthens Westcon-Comstor’s role as one of the world’s leading channel distributors in cloud-based security infrastructure and drives continued digital transformation through partners.
Cato Networks has established itself as one of the most influential vendors in the SASE market and is recognized by Gartner for its innovative platform that combines networking and security into a single cloud service. This technology offers enterprises a unified, efficient and secure solution that protects users, data and applications regardless of their location. Through the collaboration, Westcon-Comstor channel partners will have access to a powerful offering that combines performance, simplicity and security – while opening the door to new revenue opportunities in a rapidly growing market.
A central part of the partnership is Cato's clear Channel First strategy, which focuses on building long-term relationships and partner profitability rather than direct sales. Cato Networks’ Channel First Partner Program is designed to provide partners with the tools, training and go-to-market support to quickly launch and scale SASE services – without requiring an initial financial commitment. The program includes different levels and tracks that allow resellers, systems integrators and MSP partners to align their growth strategy with customer needs.
The central driving force behind the initiative is Cato Managed SASE (MSASE) Partner Platform, which simplifies the delivery of cloud-based security services. The platform offers centralized management, automation, and scalability, enabling partners to quickly create recurring revenues and strengthen its competitiveness. For many retailers, this represents a seamless transition from traditional hardware sales to a modern, service-based business model.
Westcon-Comstor will simultaneously integrate its data-driven sales program Intelligent Demand (i.D.) in the partnership. The program uses advanced analytics to identify market trends, demand and potential leads, allowing partners to act faster and more strategically. Through iD, the channel gets access to practical insight which reduces uncertainty and improves conversion at every stage of the sales cycle.
In addition to analysis tools, Westcon-Comstor also offers a portfolio of value-added services. Partners get access to the virtual demo environment 3D Lab, the technical community TechXpert and the training program SkillBoost, which helps sales and engineering teams become certified in new solutions. These initiatives strengthen skills in the channel and create a learning culture that benefits both suppliers and end customers.
“Cato Networks” channel-driven philosophy is fully aligned with our ambition to help partners grow faster and build sustainable revenue models,” says Daniel Hurel, Senior Vice President for Westcon EMEA Go-To-Market. “By combining our distribution network with Cato’s technology, we can deliver the most complete SASE offering on the market.”
Mark Draper, Area Vice President of Channel Sales, EMEA at Cato Networks, adds:
“Our shared vision is about simplifying and securing companies' path towards digitalization. "With Westcon-Comstor as a strategic partner, we can reach more organizations and offer a solution that both reduces complexity and increases security."”
Cato Networks continues to grow rapidly, with over 3,500 customers and an annual recurring revenue (ARR) of more than 300 million USD. According to industry analysts, the SASE market will grow from USD 7 billion in 2022 to $28.5 billion in 2030, driven by businesses' need for secure, flexible and cloud-based solutions.
For Westcon-Comstor is this partnership a natural development of the company's strategy within Next Generation Solutions (NGS) – an initiative focused on innovation in cloud, security, data and digital infrastructure. The combination of Cato’s technology and Westcon-Comstor's experience creates a partnership that strengthens the ecosystem of resellers, consultants and MSPs across EMEA.
With this cooperation positions Westcon-Comstor and Cato Networks as driving forces in shaping the secure network architecture of the future – a future where simplicity, scalability and profitability go hand in hand with advanced cybersecurity.
