Sigma Technology Group has once again been named one of Sweden's Best Managed Companies by Deloitte and Swedbank, thus being awarded Platinum status for the eighth consecutive year within the framework of the Sweden's Best Managed Companies 2026 award.
For Sigma Technology, the award reflects a long-term focus on combining entrepreneurial drive with the stability and governance required in increasingly complex markets.
Carl Vikingsson, President and CEO of Sigma Technology Group, describes the award as a testament to the company's working methods and organizational model.
– We are very proud of the award, but what is most important is why we continue to receive it. Even though we are a large organization, we consciously work to preserve our entrepreneurial way of working. We have built a structure where the people closest to the customer also have a mandate to act. Decisions that may take months in other organizations can be made within weeks in ours, because we trust that our teams take responsibility for both problems and solutions. If we lose that ability, we also risk losing our relevance, says Carl Vikingsson.
Sigma Technologies operating model, ”Local Drive, Global Strength”, is based on a combination of specialized and decentralized companies with support from a larger international consulting group. The model aims to enable close customer collaboration, rapid decision-making processes and deep specialist expertise while allowing the organization to offer the scale and stability that larger customers and complex delivery environments require.
Although the operations are decentralized, governance, quality assurance and delivery commitments are coordinated at the group level when customer needs and project complexity require it.
The model has become increasingly important as companies and public organizations implement extensive transformation initiatives in areas such as cloud services, artificial intelligence, electrification, and regulatory digitalization.
Carl Vikingsson emphasizes that today's market places high demands on both flexibility and long-term reliability.
“Customers today demand both flexibility and stability. They want to work with partners who can adapt quickly without compromising long-term competence and responsibility. That balance is becoming increasingly important,” he says.
Lina Thorn, partner at Deloitte and responsible for Best Managed Companies in Sweden, comments on this year's award.
– We are proud to recognize these 16 companies, all of which demonstrate strong leadership, a clear strategic agenda and well-functioning processes. Unlisted private companies account for a significant portion of both employment, turnover and innovative power in Swedish business and industry and thus constitute an important part of the Swedish economy.
