CGI (NYSE: GIB) (TSX: GIB.A) has announced a significant leadership change, with Tim Hurlebaus appointed as its new President and CEO and a member of the Board of Directors, effective immediately. He succeeds François Boulanger, who is retiring after nearly 40 years in the IT services industry, including 30 years at CGI.

For the past two years, Tim Hurlebaus has been Chief Operating Officer (COO) responsible for CGI's operations in the US, UK and Australia, markets that together represent almost half of the company's annual revenue.

Tim Hurlebaus began his career at CGI as a developer and consultant and has held leadership roles within the company's global operations for decades.

He has been responsible for CGI's business and growth strategies in the US, UK, Europe and Asia across both the commercial and public sectors. Prior to his role as COO, he led several of CGI's strategic business units in the US, the world's largest market for technology services.

As a member of CGI's management team for over a decade, Hurlebaus has been a central part of driving the company's growth strategy in consulting, systems integration, managed services and intellectual property rights.
