One of Louise Zingenberg The most important tasks that the CEO will be to run GS1 Denmark strategic work further and ensure that the organization's global standards, data and solutions create even greater value for members and partners.
Her path to the CEO position began about a year and a half ago, when she first came into contact with GS1 Denmark through a consulting assignment. She then began working within the organization as COO and became closely involved in both strategic and organizational development.
It was primarily GS1's potential to make a concrete difference for companies, industries and society that piqued her interest.
”"GS1 is an important societal player and I am proud to have the opportunity to lead the organization. Our global standards contribute to efficient trade, traceability and reliable data between companies, sectors and countries."”
Louise Zingenberg also points out that a broader use of common standards will be an important part of the organization's continued development.
”The goal is clear: we will create even greater value for our members and increase the use of GS1 global standards and services. The more people who use the same standards, the more value we create for both business and society.”
Data and traceability are becoming increasingly important
GS1 standards are used for identification, labeling and exchange of structured data between companies and organizations. They are behind product identification systems and barcodes, among others, and are used in areas such as retail, healthcare, transport and logistics, and public procurement.
As demands for traceability, quality-assured product data and digital documentation increase, common standards are playing an increasingly important role in companies' supply chains and digital infrastructure.
For Louise Zingenberg The task now becomes to lead GS1 Denmark through the next phase and at the same time increase the value of the organization's standards and services for Danish companies and other actors.
