Cloud Family is now strengthening its marketing efforts by recruiting Josefine Johansson as the new Chief Marketing Officer. With experience in building marketing functions in fast-growing B2B companies, she takes on the role at a time when the company is shifting gears and aiming for a clearer international position.
– “What attracted me to Cloud Family was that their solution fills a concrete need in the market. Companies want to lower their AWS costs, but most don't even know it's possible. There's a clear position to take – and a market function to build on,”, says Josefine.
The company is fast-growing, international and SaaS-based, with a solution that helps companies lower their AWS costs – without technical changes and without long-term commitments. A solution that, according to one customer, is described as “a no brainer”.
– “For me, it says a lot when customers spontaneously describe the solution as a no-brainer.”, says Josephine.
From the first computer to building market functions
The drive to create began early. Josefine grew up in the Småland countryside and clearly remembers how, as a young woman, she went into Elgiganten with a piggy bank full of notes and coins from summer jobs and birthdays to buy her first computer.
It was the mid-2000s, when blogging exploded and became a precursor to today's influencer culture.
“I started experimenting with blogging, images, videos and digital communication long before I knew it could become a profession. But the feeling is still there: the curiosity, the desire to understand and the drive to build something.”
Over the years, that early drive has taken shape in a clear professional direction. Josefine today has a background in B2B marketing, content, lead generation and commercial strategy, including from Simployer and Amido. A common thread in her career has been combining strategy with execution – and building marketing that creates clarity, trust and growth.
– “I thrive where ambitions are high and where the path from idea to action is short. For me, marketing is at its best when it communicates value more clearly. That's the type of marketing function I want to be part of and build on at Cloud Family.”
But it's not just about ambitions – it's also about people.
– “You spend eight hours a day together. It has to be an environment where you feel comfortable, where there is energy and commitment.”
A simple solution to an expensive problem
The company's offering is fundamentally simple: as an official AWS partner, they help companies lower their cloud costs – with no lock-in period and without customers needing to change their infrastructure.
– “There are very few solutions that are this easy to understand and yet so powerful. You save money, without the risk. That's why customers say it's a 'no brainer'.‘
The fact that the model is also based on full flexibility, where customers can leave at any time, makes the offer even stronger.
– “It says a lot that no customer has chosen to leave since the start.”

The next phase – scaling internationally
In her role as CMO, Josefine is responsible for the entire marketing function – from strategy and positioning to campaigns, content and lead generation – with a focus on supporting the company's continued growth.
– “My drive is to create communication that actually makes a difference. To help people understand a problem, see the value in the solution and take the next step.”
Now the next chapter awaits; to take Cloud Families marketing work to the next level and support the company's international expansion.
– “It feels like Cloud Family is just starting to take its place. The potential is great, both in the Nordics and internationally, and I really look forward to building the marketing efforts that will support that growth.”
About Cloud Family
Cloud Family helps companies lower their Amazon Web Services (AWS) costs through an ML and AI-based platform that optimizes the use of AWS resources in real time.
The company's solution is based on a fixed price commitment that makes it possible to resell all AWS services at discounted prices. The platform can also apply the company's fixed price financial commitments for AWS EC2, AWS Lambda and AWS Fargate on other companies in real time to maximize cost-effectiveness.
Companies using the solution typically save between 10 and 30 percent of their total AWS costs.
A key part of Cloud Family's offering is that the solution does not impact customers' workflow, technology or security. Optimization occurs only at the billing layer, meaning companies can reduce their cloud costs without any changes to infrastructure or operating environment.
