Barracuda Stops Emerging Cyber Threats with Multimodal AI

Barracuda Networks is now launching the next generation of threat detection – multimodal AI. The technology can identify advanced cyber threats faster and more accurately by combining multiple types of data, such as text, documents, images, QR codes and web addresses, providing a more comprehensive analysis of potential attacks.

Unlike traditional solutions, multimodal can AI analyze multiple information sources simultaneously and understand the connections between them. This makes it possible to detect threats that would otherwise risk going unnoticed.

The new features are integrated into Barracudas broader platform for IT security and builds on the company's many years of work with AI and machine learning. Compared to previous solutions, the new system identifies malicious files up to eight times faster and with over three times the accuracy.

The technology also enhances Barracuda LinkProtect, a feature that analyzes web links in an isolated environment to uncover hidden threats, malware, and redirects. All threat intelligence is shared in real time across the entire Barracuda platform, creating automated, multi-layered protection.
