What are Microsoft's different Copilots? Here's what they are and how you can use them

On a broader level, Microsoft's Copilot represents a breakthrough in artificial intelligence (AI) technology. Microsoft has launched several Copilots with different capabilities for different purposes and is committed to making Copilot technology accessible to all users.

“We are the Copilot company,” Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said during the company’s Ignite event. “We believe in a future where there will be a Copilot for everything you do.”

Originally known as Bing Chat, Microsoft Copilot is an AI chatbot that can perform a variety of tasks, including coding, writing, generating images, and answering general questions. Microsoft has expanded the Copilot concept to various applications and experiences, including Microsoft 365, and aims to offer AI assistance in all aspects of workflows.

Is Microsoft Copilot already available?

Yes, Microsoft Copilot, formerly known as Bing Chat, has been available since February, but it got its current name at the Microsoft Ignite event in November.
