The Snowflake Anthropic partnership marks a major push into agent-based AI, with $200 million invested to provide global enterprises with advanced AI directly on their business data.
Snowflake and Anthropic announces a significant expansion of its strategic partnership. The multi-year agreement is worth $200 million and aims to deliver enterprise-class agent-based AI to more than 12,600 global customers through Snowflake Cortex AI.
The partnership means that Anthropics Claude models are deeply integrated into Snowflake AI Data Cloud. By combining Claude's advanced reasoning skills with Snowflakes secure and controlled data platform, companies can conduct complex multi-step analyses directly on sensitive business data.
Claude also becomes the primary model behind Snowflake Intelligence enabling a new way of working where the entire organization's knowledge base is made available via trusted AI agents. This fundamentally changes how companies can work with data analysis, decision support and automation at scale.
The expanded partnership builds on an already established collaboration where thousands of Snowflake customers already process billions of Claude tokens every month via Snowflake Cortex AI. The new agreement also includes a joint global go to market initiative focused on deploying AI agents to the world's largest company.
Snowflake already uses Claude internally in both product development and sales. Among other things used Claude Code to improve developer productivity and a Claude-powered GTM AI assistant to speed up business cycles and customer dialogues.
Through the Snowflake Anthropic partnership, secure enterprise data is combined with advanced AI for analytics automation and decision support at scale.
Sridhar Ramaswamy CEO of Snowflake emphasizes that the company's most strategic partnerships are measured not just by size but by how they create innovation and customer value together. He emphasizes that Anthropic belongs to a very exclusive group of partners with nine-figure agreements, joint product development and documented customer benefit on a global level.
Dario Amodei CEO and co-founder of Anthropic highlights that companies have spent years building secure and trusted data environments and are now demanding AI that can operate in these environments without compromising security or governance. The partnership makes Claude available directly where enterprise data already resides, an important step in making advanced AI practical for businesses.
Snowflake’s third-quarter earnings report also included several other business news. Snowflake has more than doubled its year-over-year growth on the AWS Marketplace and surpassed $2 billion in sales, making it only the second ISV ever to reach this milestone in a calendar year.
Snowflake and Accenture have also announced the formation of the Accenture Snowflake Business Group, a new venture designed to accelerate enterprise data and AI transformation through shared AI-powered solutions, enhanced training and certifications, and a global center of excellence.
