Pax8 Tom Gavin strengthens the company's global marketing strategy when he takes over as the new marketing and communications manager at Pax8, the leading global marketplace for cloud commerce.
In his new role as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer (CMCO) coming Tom Gavin to be responsible for leading the company's global marketing, brand strategy and communications. The focus is on further developing Pax8's position as a driving force in cloud commerce, AI and managed intelligence.
He will also play a central role in defining the company’s story and voice in the industry – combining data, creativity and strategy to build stronger relationships with partners and customers. Gavin will report directly to Nick Heddy, CEO and Chief Commerce Officer at Pax8.
Experience from global brands and the public sector
With almost three decades of leadership experience in both business and the public sector, Tom Gavin brings with it a broad base of expertise that spans communication, marketing, social impact and brand building.
He has held leading roles within some of the world's most dynamic organizations - including The White House, where he worked with strategic communications, as well as at technology giants such as Salesforce, Coupa and Workato.
In addition, he has been the communications director for the global aid organization ONE Campaign, founded by the musician Bono, where he led international initiatives for social change and partnerships.

That experience has made Gavin to a leader at the intersection between technology, stories and business development – a combination that, according to Pax8's management, will be crucial as the company enters its next growth phase.

He will also further develop Pax8's thought leadership initiative, where the company shares insights on the future of cloud, AI strategy and digital transformation. Through increased presence at industry conferences, social media and in the press, Pax8 wants to solidify its role as the voice of Managed Intelligence Providers (MIP) globally.
