Veeam appoints Veronica Oprea as Head of Inside Sales in EMEA

Veeam Software, a global leader in data resilience and cybersecurity, has announced that Veronica Oprea has been appointed Inside Sales Leader for EMEA Effective immediately, the appointment underscores Veeam's commitment to fostering internal talent and strengthening its leadership in sales, customer relationships and growth strategy.

A testament to internal leadership and success

With over six years at Veeam, Veronica Oprea has built a solid career within the company, leading high-performing teams and driving operational excellence from her base in Bucharest. She has previously held several key roles, including Head of Inside Sales EMEA South and Acting Inside Sales Leader EMEA, where she successfully drove business results across multiple regions.

Oracle experience and a background in geographic information science

Before her time at Veeam, Veronica worked at Oracle, where she was Support Sales Manager for Hospitality & Retail South Region. She excelled in operational integration, change management and business development, which laid the foundation for her strong leadership profile.

Veronica has a Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Science and Cartography from University of Bucharest, which combines technical understanding with strategic thinking – a valuable combination in today's data-driven business world.

Focus on growth and collaboration across the EMEA region

In his new role, Oprea to shape Veeam's Inside Sales strategy in EMEA, focusing on pipeline acceleration, commercial growth and partner collaboration. She will work closely with regional sales and partner teams to strengthen customer relationships and deliver industry-leading solutions for businesses throughout the region.
