Nexer announces that the company has been awarded a framework agreement by The Armed Forces for IT consulting services. The agreement means that Nexer, as one of four suppliers, will provide IT consulting services to The Swedish Armed Forces and the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) over the next three years, with the possibility of extension up to a total of seven years.

The framework agreement, which enters into force on April 21, 2025 and has a ceiling volume of SEK 2,145 million, covers IT consulting services within three main areas of expertise:

Purpose of the procurement and expected results

The purpose of the procurement is to support The Armed Forces' and FMV's IT operations by providing the necessary expertise and resources for the development, management, operation, maintenance and support of their IT systems. This includes both new and legacy systems, as well as proprietary and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) systems.

The goal is to increase and secure security of supply with serious, quality-conscious and committed framework agreement suppliers, gain flexibility and quality through the ability to secure the right expertise when calling for orders, obtain market prices and cost-effectiveness, and achieve well-functioning supplier collaboration at strategic, tactical and operational levels.

The need for IT consultants is nationwide, but the majority of assignments are expected to be located in and around Stockholm and the Mälardalen region. The procurement includes security protection agreements according to the Security Protection Act, which ensures that all assignments are carried out with highest safety standards.
