New leadership at Omegapoint Stockholm AB: Wilhelm Hedman-Dybeck takes over as CEO – Published by IT-Branschen

Omegapoint continues to grow and become an increasingly large provider in cyber-secure digitalization. As part of the company's continued development, Wilhelm Hedman-Dybeck has been appointed as the new CEO of Omegapoint Stockholm from September 1, 2024. Outgoing Stockholm CEO Anna-Clara Söderbaum will thus focus fully on her role as Head of Sweden.

A strategic shift for growth

Omegapoint Stockholm, with 330 employees, accounts for almost half of Omegapoint's operations in Sweden. In addition to Stockholm, the Swedish operations also include Gothenburg, Malmö, Uppsala and Örebro, and Omegapoint increasingly acts as a national supplier where customers have access to the entire Swedish operation. The management development in Stockholm is part of a planned and long-term strategy to further accelerate the company's growth and support Omegapoints vision to become the market leader in the Nordic region.

Anna-Clara comments on the CEO change:

”"It feels very exciting that Wilhelm is taking over as CEO for Stockholm. Wilhelm has deep technical expertise through his consulting assignments in cybersecurity-focused system development and system architecture. He is also an experienced project manager, business consultant and quality assurance officer. Wilhelm represents Omegapoint's competence-centered culture by actively contributing to the Omegapoint Academy and contributing enthusiastically to spreading knowledge both internally and to our customers and partners. He is sharp and kind and represents Omegapoint in every way!

I am convinced that Wilhelm will be a contributing part of Omegapoint Sweden continued development. In addition to a solid background, he also has a unique ability to think outside the box, see where Omegapoint is going and what we need to do to become an increasingly valuable partner for our customers throughout the Nordics.”

Wilhelm Hedman-Dybeck: From Trainee to CEO

Wilhelm Hedman-Dybeck is a trained civil engineer and began his journey on Omegapoint's trainee program in 2017. Since then, he has had an impressive career. He has delivered value as a technical consultant, advanced to team leader and further to taking full delivery responsibility for some of the company's largest deliveries within cyber-secure digitalization.

Wilhelm became interested in the business and quality dimension of Omegapoint's deliveries early on and has developed a deep understanding of the customers' business and needs in the role of business consultant. In 2022, Wilhelm was given the role of Delivery Manager where he focused on ensuring quality, methods and processes in the company's deliveries. In 2024, he took over as Deputy CEO of Omegapoint Stockholm and is now taking the full step as CEO.

Wilhelm is enthusiastic about the new role:

”Omegapoint has a unique position in the market through our way of combining advanced digitalization and cybersecurity issues. With today's technological developments, the two cannot be kept apart and by thinking "Secure by Design" we help our customers think securely from the start, both in relation to their own operations and to the regulations of the outside world. Preemptively combining technology and security in this way creates greater business value for our customers.

We are moving from being a supplier that provides expert competence to having deeper partner relationships with our customers where we take overall responsibility for development and security in their organizations. At the same time, the entire industry is suffering from a skills shortage. Within Omegapoint, we actively work with skills development as part of our work. Since the expectations of the outside world and technological development never stand still, we must continue and deepen the development of and for our employees to We will be able to maintain and further develop our offering and continue to be a relevant supplier in the market.”

A shared vision for the future

Both Anna-Clara and Wilhelm are optimistic about the future. Together they have a common vision for Omegapoint in both Stockholm and Sweden.

”"We want to be a one-stop supplier for digitalization, cybersecurity and information security solutions. Omegapoint should be synonymous with cyber-secure digitalization and continue our journey towards becoming a market leader in the Nordics. I am confident that Wilhelm, with his experience and ability to think innovatively, will be a big part of Omegapoint's continued success,” says Anna-Clara.

”"I will continue to drive Stockholm forward with full force so that we can meet the market demand for our services and consolidate our position as a thought leader in cyber-secure digitalization."”
