To be able to use AI in a way that is both effective and in accordance with regulations, increased knowledge and awareness about safe use is required.

A platform for responsible AI use

That's what NAVEX takes into account when launching the training platform Artificial Intelligence at Work for companies and employees in the EU region. The aim is to give employees a clear picture of when and how AI tools are used in work, and what to consider to both improve results and avoid ethical or security risks.

“As AI tools become more and more integrated into everyday processes, an organization’s determination to do business the right way is more important than ever. While the role of AI in the workplace can bring great opportunities, it can also create great risks. Training on appropriate AI use is therefore critical to ensuring that employees understand how to use these tools responsibly, effectively and ethically,” says Jen Farthing, General Manager of Training Content, NAVEX.

The platform takes a comprehensive approach to everyday AI-use in work, and contains training modules on:

  • Risks and best practices for using AI in the workplace
  • Ethical considerations in the use of AI, including fairness, discrimination, transparency, and accountability
  • General guidelines for data privacy, security and compliance
  • Organizational responsibilities under EU AI law when using high-risk AI systems
  • A basic understanding of what AI is, how it works, and its various applications
  • An overview of machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and automation tools
  • AI tools that employees may encounter at work and common use cases – such as automating workflows and analyzing data
