Knowit has been approved as a supplier under the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA), which enables participation in procurements from NATO and its member countries. The approval has been granted to Knowit's Finnish subsidiary, Knowit Solutions Oy. Corresponding approvals already exist for Knowit companies in Sweden.

The approval enables participation in procurements related to digital solutions, data management and secure systems. BOA is a procurement model used by NATO where procurements are carried out as separate competitive tenders among approved suppliers.

With Finland's membership in NATO Finnish companies have gained access to procurements that were previously unavailable. This means a broad and demanding operating environment where high demands are placed on system reliability, cybersecurity and continuity.

BOA approval has been awarded Knowit Solutions Oy, part of the Knowit Group, after a multi-year evaluation process where capacity, reliability and compliance with strict security requirements have been reviewed. Corresponding approvals already exist for Knowit companies in Sweden, more specifically the subsidiaries Knowit Defense Technology and Knowit Dataunit. Together, these approvals reflect Knowit's growing role as a Nordic partner in the development of secure and robust digital solutions in a NATO context.

”"This approval is a significant testament to the trust in Knowit's expertise. Digital resilience is based on the ability to connect data and systems across organizational boundaries and ensure that they function reliably even in disrupted situations. We have experience in developing and managing solutions in environments where systems must function under all conditions," says Terhi Sirviö, business manager public sector, Knowit Finland.

”"It is important to us that our work is in line with our vision and values. We focus on digital solutions that support society, authorities and secure data management. We see that our role is particularly important in systems that enable communication, situational awareness and decision-making, thereby contributing to the stability and democratic structures of society," says Per Wallentin, CEO Knowit.

The process requires approval from both NATO and Finnish national authorities.
