Dynatrace integrates agentic AI – paving the way for autonomous IT systems

Dynatrace is now taking a major step forward in the development of its observability platform by integrating so-called agentic AI – artificial intelligence that not only analyzes but also acts independently. The aim is to help companies prevent problems, protect systems and data, and optimize resources, completely automated. The new technology represents a major change in how organizations can drive their digital transformation with greater efficiency and adaptability.

Companies are increasingly investing in AI to streamline their software development, but developers still spend up to 80 percent of their time securing, debugging, and optimizing systems in production. Autonomous AI agents reduce reliance on manual monitoring with AI-powered workflows that free up time for innovation.

The technical foundation of Dynatrace consists of several parts that work together for agentic AI:

• Grail – an index- and schema-free data warehouse that provides direct access to large amounts of data in real time, without the need for time-consuming restructuring.
• Smartscape – maps how different components in an IT system affect each other and creates a basis for more accurate analyses and measures.
• Davis AI – combines various AI technologies to provide reliable insights, plan actions and minimize the risk of incorrect conclusions.
• AutomationEngine – performs tasks autonomously and collaborates with both internal and external AI solutions in a safe and controlled manner.

Through these innovations can developers and businesses can more easily manage complex systems, reduce operational disruptions and quickly adapt to changes.
