Apple Intelligence now available in the EU via iOS 18.4

iOS 18.4 includes a number of exciting updates for iPhone users, but the most notable news for those living in the EU is undoubtedly support for Apple Intelligence. After months of anticipation, Apple's AI features are now finally available to beta users in the EU, with a wider rollout expected in April. Learn more about iOS 18 on Apple's website.

The reason for the delay

Apple proudly unveiled its first Apple Intelligence feature at WWDC last June, but at the same time announced that EU users would not have access to the AI features at launch. The reason was the complex EU regulations, particularly those related to the Digital Markets Act, that Apple had to navigate. While Mac users were not affected, iPhone and iPad were subject to other requirements that delayed the launch of Apple Intelligence in the EU. More information about the Digital Markets Act can be found on the European Commission’s website.

iOS 18.4 paves the way for Apple Intelligence

After a long wait, Apple now has some good news for iPhone users in the EU. Apple recently announced that Apple Intelligence will be rolling out to EU users in April via a software update, and that update appears to be iOS 18.4. Beta users in the EU can already get a taste of Apple Intelligence by downloading the first iOS 18.4 beta. You can read more about iOS Beta Program on Apple's developer website. This early access coincides well with Apple's expanded language support in iOS 18.4.

Changed access rules

Previously, EU users were completely blocked from using Apple Intelligence, regardless of their device's region or language settings. Apple blocked access based on location. But with iOS With the 18.4 beta, this is no longer the case. Currently, AI is only blocked in China, and hopefully this will change soon as well.

The more specific your links, the better for both users and SEO. Also, be sure the links are working and point to legitimate sources.
