Every year since 1946, Folk och Försvar has held the National Conference – Sweden's foremost forum for discussion on security policy, defense, society's crisis preparedness and global security trends. Every year, the National Conference brings together approximately 350–400 participants and 60–70 speakers over three days for knowledge dissemination, conversation and debate. The focus is on world security, Sweden's defense, people's safety and society's crisis preparedness.
An important message this year is that both military and civil defense are the cornerstones of Sweden's common security and that their united development and growth is urgent and a matter of concern for the entire people.
