Niclas Molander, Sweden manager at Netscout, emphasizes the importance of continuous monitoring in Kubernetes environments.

Netscout Systems, a global leader in observability, AIOps, cybersecurity and DDoS protection, now presents a significant upgrade of its end-to-end monitoring for modern cloud environments. The new solution strengthens companies' ability to meet requirements for compliance, data protection and safe operation – while increasing transparency in complex IT systems and supporting zero-trust strategies.

The extension integrates directly into the company's observability platform Omnis KlearSight Sensor for Kubernetes. The goal is to give organizations a tool to quickly identify, analyze, and respond to incidents in real time – regardless of whether they occur in the cloud, on-premises, or in hybrid environments.

Cloud monitoring in a new era

When more and more companies build their applications on container-based platforms Kubernetes has become the standard for how IT operations are managed and scaled. But with this flexibility comes increased complexity. According to new surveys work over 93 percent of companies already actively using Kubernetes, but many are still struggling to get sufficient visibility and control over their systems.

Netscout's latest solutions address these very challenges. By providing an in-depth and up-to-date picture of network traffic, workloads, and API calls helps the tools companies use to discover deviations, track performance issues, and verify that all security and compliance requirements are met.

– When companies using Kubernetes to deliver applications, the rapid pace of change in container technology can create compliance challenges. Organizations need to collect detailed activity in their IT systems to manage risk and meet both security and compliance requirements, explains John Grady, chief analyst at About.

Deep insight into Kubernetes environments

The updated Omnis KlearSight Sensor collects and analyzes data in real time from both infrastructure, applications and networks. In this way, a overall picture of the entire system landscape – from internal processes to traffic between containers and external services.

This gives IT teams the ability to not only monitor but also act proactively. Threats, misconfigurations, or abnormal behavior can be identified long before they impact operations or violate security policies.

Netscout's solutions enable:

  • Continuous monitoring and threat detection
  • Forensic analysis and rapid incident management
  • Strengthened data protection and privacy
  • Automated management of configurations and vulnerabilities
  • Audit trail and accountability

By combining network and application data into a common interface, companies gain a more comprehensive understanding of what is happening in real time – which in turn contributes to faster decision-making and more effective incident response.

Compliance and transparency as a competitive advantage

For companies operating in regulated industries – for example, finance, health, public sector or industry – are compliance and transparency crucial. Netscout's improved monitoring makes it easier to meet the requirements of frameworks such as GDPR, ISO 27001 and NIS2 Directive, where organizations must be able to demonstrate how they manage, protects and monitors data.

At the same time, it decreases the solution to the need for manual reports by automatically generating verifiable logs and documentation that can be used in audits. This not only strengthens IT security but also customer trust.

– Continuous monitoring is not just a good practice; it is a prerequisite for reducing risks and ensure compliance. "In-depth visibility into Kubernetes environments helps us meet service levels and customer expectations while strengthening our work on regulations and standards," says Niclas Molander, Sweden manager at Netscout.

Support for zero-trust and future IT architecture

Netscout's update is also designed to support companies implementing zero-trust models, where no user or device is automatically considered trusted. By monitoring every data point and every communication on the network, security teams gain the visibility needed to detect anomalies and protect sensitive information.

As AI-powered attacks and sophisticated DDoS attacks increase, this type of monitoring an increasingly important tool for ensure operational stability, performance and business continuity.
