Westcon-Comstor, a global technology provider and specialist distributor, has announced the appointment of Ahmed Kassak as new country manager for SwedenThis appointment is part of the company's strategy to drive faster growth in key areas such as cybersecurity, networking solutions and cloud technologies. Westcon-Comstor operates in over 50 countries in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and APAC (Asia-Pacific)) and had global sales of USD 3.69 billion in the most recent fiscal year. The company's Swedish operations are based in Stockholm and employ almost 60 people within Westcon and Comstor.

Kassak comes to Westcon Sweden with extensive leadership experience in SaaS (Software as a Service), where he has previously driven business growth in the Nordics at companies such as Roar and SiteimproveHis appointment is seen as an important step to strengthen Westcon's market position and accelerate growth in Sweden.

Focus on Partner Success and Data-Driven Growth

As Country Manager, Kassak will focus on strengthening and supporting channel partners through Westcon's data-driven approach and value-adding services, including training, capacity building and comprehensive support that enhances partners' success.

Kassak will also work to expand Westcon's operations in Sweden by deepening collaborations with strategic partners such as Extreme Networks, F5, Infoblox and Palo Alto NetworksIn addition, he will explore opportunities with new and emerging suppliers such as Proofpoint, Vectra AI and Zscaler to further broaden Westcon's cybersecurity offerings.

A key part of this growth strategy is Westcon's proprietary products and solutions, such as Intelligent Demand, 3D Lab and Partner Insights, which are designed to drive partner success and increase market share.

Management Team Expands with Key Recruitments

Kassak's appointment is part of a larger restructuring of Westcon Sweden. Linus Voxlin has recently been promoted to Vendor Sales Manager, while Isabelle Gyllenhammar has been promoted to Sales Support Manager. Both will report directly to Kassak. In addition, Anastasia Kristoffers joined the team as AWS Partner Scale Manager and will lead Westcon AWS Marketplace Programs in SwedenThe program makes it easier for partners to conduct business on AWS Marketplace and helps vendors grow their businesses in the cloud.
