Nexer announces that the company has been awarded a framework agreement by The Armed Forces for IT consulting services. The agreement means that Nexer, as one of four suppliers, will provide IT consulting services to The Swedish Armed Forces and the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) over the next three years, with the possibility of extension up to a total of seven years.
The framework agreement, which enters into force on April 21, 2025 and has a ceiling volume of SEK 2,145 million, covers IT consulting services within three main areas of expertise:
- IT systems
- Testing of IT systems
- IT and information security
Purpose of the procurement and expected results
The purpose of the procurement is to support The Armed Forces' and FMV's IT operations by providing the necessary expertise and resources for the development, management, operation, maintenance and support of their IT systems. This includes both new and legacy systems, as well as proprietary and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) systems.
The goal is to increase and secure security of supply with serious, quality-conscious and committed framework agreement suppliers, gain flexibility and quality through the ability to secure the right expertise when calling for orders, obtain market prices and cost-efficiency, and achieve well-functioning supplier collaboration at a strategic, tactical and operational level.
The need for IT consultants is nationwide, but the majority of assignments are expected to be located in and around Stockholm and the Mälardalen region. The procurement includes security protection agreements according to the Security Protection Act, which ensures that all assignments are carried out with highest safety standards.
“We are very pleased to have been awarded this framework agreement by the Swedish Armed Forces. It is a testament to our expertise and commitment to delivering high-quality IT consulting services. We look forward to working with The Armed Forces and FMV to support their IT operations and contribute to their success,” says Lars Kry, CEO of Nexer Group.
Susanne Paulsson, business area manager for the public sector at Nexer Group, adds:
“This framework agreement demonstrates the confidence in Nexer to deliver critical IT services in one of the most important sectors for national security. We are committed to ensuring that The Armed Forces and FMV "get the best expertise and solutions to meet their changing IT needs. Our team is happy and proud to contribute to this important mission."
