M-Files, a leader in knowledge work automation, has named Jay Bhatt as its new CEO. Jay Bhatt, a veteran of leading and developing software companies, has previously served as CEO of both private and public companies such as Alfresco Software, Blackboard and Progress Software. He also held a senior role at Autodesk where he was responsible for the architecture, engineering and construction business area.
The appointment comes in connection with the completion of a major restructuring of ownership, led by Haveli Investments and Bregal Milestone – two private equity firms focused on software and technology. Jay Bhatt also contributed to the transaction through his own investment firm, CrossParadigm Capital.
M-Files former CEO and founder, Antti Nivala, is moving into the role of Chief Innovation Officer. There, he will continue to drive innovation within the company's automated platform. knowledge work. He will also retain his role as Chairman of the Board and work with strategic guidance.
