Ingram Micro reports strong revenue growth, EMEA region performs solidly

Ingram Micro, a leading technology distributor, has reported solid results for the second quarter of 2025. Global net sales increased by 10.9% to $12.8 billion, exceeding the company's own expectations. The company attributes this growth to strong performance across all geographic segments, including the EMEA region. Net profit decreased by a whopping 16% to over $37.8 million.

IN EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa) Net sales increased 4.8% to $3.5 billion. This increase was primarily driven by growth in client and endpoint solutions, with strong demand for desktops, laptops and components. Sales of advanced solutions, cloud services and other services also contributed to the positive figures.

Stable operating profit in EMEA

Operating profit in the EMEA region increased from $52.6 million to $55.7 million. The profit margin remained at 1.60%, a slight increase compared to 1.58% in the same quarter last year. According to Ingram Micro This is a result of lower selling and administrative expenses and improved operating efficiency, despite a shift to lower margin products.

CEO Paul Bay (pictured) is pleased with the results: “We delivered a solid second quarter, with growth in all four regions and our three main business areas. Our resilience as a company was tested by a ransomware attack, but this did not impact our results in the quarter ended June. Our digital platform Xvantage played a critical role in our recovery and continues to strengthen our service delivery.

Ingram Micro expects continued growth in the third quarter of 2025, with support of strong results within their core businesses.

Ransomware attack

Additionally, Ingram Micro confirmed that data was stolen from its systems during a ransomware attack by SafePay hackers in July. According to CEO Paul Bay, the attack, which crippled the company's order system, is "complex and ongoing," CRN reports. Forensic investigations are ongoing, but Bay indicated that "some data has been stolen from our systems. If it is determined that personal information has been compromised, the company will notify those affected in accordance with applicable regulations. Transparency and compliance remain top priorities. The company emphasized the resilience of its internal teams and partners, and the critical role its digital platform plays in the recovery.
