Palo Alto Networks introduces Cortex Cloud ASPM

Palo Alto Networks, the global leader in cybersecurity, has unveiled its latest innovation: Cortex Cloud Application Security Posture Management (ASPM). This new module with a focus on prevention changes how security risks are managed and ensures that problems are blocked before they reach the production environment.

By significantly accelerating the process, security leaders and developers can remediate potential threats 10 times faster and more cost-effectively than before. Cortex Cloud ASPM enables proactive risk management in cloud and AI applications, bringing unprecedented efficiency to security protocols.

A notable feature of this release is its open AppSec partner ecosystem, which facilitates the consolidation of data from various third-party barcode scanners. This streamlined, centralized approach provides improved visibility and the ability to leverage insightful data from native ASPM sources alongside third-party vendors. Some of the featured partners include household names such as Black Duck, Checkmarx, GitLab, HashiCorp, Semgrep, Snyk and Veracode.

This ASPM module is an evolution of the recently introduced Cortex Cloud, which integrates cloud-based application protection with detection and response capabilities. By leveraging AI-ready data spanning code, cloud, and SOC, the Cortex platform revolutionizes security operations by delivering comprehensive application protection.
