A project in the regulatory sandbox The sandbox lasts for approximately 6–8 months and ends with a public report..
Learning and knowledge sharing in focus
– Our sandbox is a way of working that provides opportunities for others to benefit from the insights in our innovation projects, while we at IMY learn about new technologies, such as AI., says Per Nydén, acting unit manager at IMY's innovation hub. Through the sandbox, we can help create better conditions for privacy-friendly innovation and sustainable technology development.
Dialogue-based guidance in data protection
IMY was the first among Swedish authorities to test the regulatory sandbox, a working method that means that innovators and business developers receive dialogue-based guidance on data protection issues where the legal situation is unclear. The working method has been part of the authority's innovation work since 2022.
Next chance to participate: fall 2025
Expressions of interest for the next project are open April 3–May 19. Project start in September. More information and expressions of interest at imy.se/sandlada.
