Every year since 1946, Folk och Försvar has held the National Conference – Sweden’s leading forum for discussion on security policy, defence, society’s crisis preparedness and global security trends. The National Conference brings together approximately 350–400 participants and 60–70 speakers over three days for knowledge dissemination, discussion and debate. The focus is on world security, Sweden’s defence, people’s security and society's crisis preparedness.
