TCS and AMD in strategic collaboration to scale AI in enterprises

TCS AMD scale AI business through a strategic partnership with processor manufacturer AMD to help organizations move from AI pilot projects to full production. Tata Consultancy Services has initiated cooperation with the processor manufacturer AMD to modernize existing IT environments and build secure, high-performance digital workplaces.

Within the framework of the collaboration, plans TCS and AMD to jointly develop industry-specific solutions for AI and generative AI. This is done by combining TCS' deep industry knowledge and systems integration capabilities with AMD's leading portfolio of computer and AI products. Together, the companies will help organizations modernize hybrid cloud and edge environments, implement AI-powered workplace solutions, and accelerate innovation. TCS will also rapidly develop and certify its employees in AMD:'s hardware and software technology.

The two companies plan to jointly invest in talent to build a deep pool of experts who can collaborate on and deliver next-generation AI solutions. Industry-specific frameworks for generative AI will be developed for sectors such as life science with a focus on drug development, manufacturing with cognitive quality assurance and smart production, and Bank, finance and insurance with intelligent risk management. The collaboration will also deliver customized accelerators, frameworks and best practices to improve AI performance and help organizations fully leverage the business value of AI.

TCS will work with AMD to integrate client solutions based on Ryzen processors to modernize the workplace. At the same time, AMD EPYC processors, AMD Instinct graphics processors and AI accelerators will be used to upgrade hybrid cloud and high-performance computing environments. AMD's embedded systems portfolio will also help customers drive innovation in edge computing, inference and industrial digitization.
