Compared to the first generation Corning® Gorilla® Armor Gorilla Armor 2 offers improved ruggedness. It is especially more durable if the device were to be dropped on hard and challenging surfaces[1]. is Gorilla Armor 2 is designed to better withstand damage, such as cracks, than before.
Gorilla Armor 2's anti-reflective properties reduce surface reflections in both indoor and outdoor environments. These features can improve the contrast ratio of the screen, providing an improved user experience in different lighting conditions.
IN Corning lab tests Gorilla Armor 2 survived drops from up to 2.2 meters onto a surface that replicated concrete. Alternative glass ceramic failed when dropped from one meter. Additionally, it maintained Gorilla Armor 2 its exceptional scratch resistance, showing over four times higher scratch resistance than competing lithium aluminum silicate glass with an anti-reflective coating.[2]
