Snowflake AI Data Cloud helps companies take data and AI projects from the experimental stage to production faster through new product innovations, a connected development environment, and trusted AI agents that can be used across the business.
Snowflake is announcing several new features in AI Data Cloud that make it easier for organizations to build, manage, and deploy AI solutions at scale. The launches include Cortex Code now generally available, Semantic View Autopilot, and improvements to Snowflake Postgres, which now runs natively in the platform.
The launches include: Cortex Code, a coding agent designed to automate and accelerate end-to-end development in enterprises, is becoming generally available. It will also Semantic View Autopilot, an AI-powered service that automates the creation and management of semantic views. The service also provides AI agents with a common source of key metrics so that consistent and reliable results can be delivered. With the improvements in Snowflake Postgres, now running the world's most popular database1 natively in the AI Data Cloud, enabling enterprises to bring together transactional, analytical and AI applications in a single secure platform.
Snowflake has also entered into a new multi-year partnership with OpenAI, worth $200 million. The agreement includes co-innovation, joint marketing efforts and making OpenAI models available to Snowflake's 12,600 global customers via Snowflake Cortex AI.
“For AI to deliver real value, the technology must move from the experimental stage and instead become an integrated part of the systems that employees rely on every day,” says Christian Kleinerman, EVP of Product at Snowflake. With our latest product enhancements, we’re reshaping how teams build and work by integrating AI directly into the development cycle, making data AI-ready from the start, and helping companies realize real business value with AI. This is a fundamental shift in how businesses build with data and AI. It also enables users to create solutions that are trusted, governed, and ready to run across the enterprise.

Snowflake and OpenAI enter into a partnership worth $200 million
Snowflake and OpenAI will collaborate with joint innovation and GTM strategies to develop and implement tailored AI solutions that deliver tangible returns on enterprise customers' investments.
The partnership also makes OpenAI models available to Snowflake's 12,600 global customers via Snowflake Cortex AI. OpenAI models that GPT-5.2 will be available via Snowflake Intelligence, which allows employees to securely access, analyze, and act on the entire business's knowledge through natural language.
Snowflake introduces Cortex Code, an AI coding agent that understands your company's data context and helps teams build faster
With Cortex Code users get an agent that understands and works within their enterprise data context, enabling anyone, regardless of technical expertise, to build data pipelines, analytics, and AI apps faster.
To drive data and AI initiatives forward, faster and more reliably, teams need purpose-built tools that understand their data environments, simplify complex tasks, and enable sophisticated, reliable workflows through natural language. Cortex Code understands users’ Snowflake data, calculations, governance, and operational semantics, and is adaptable to work wherever users work, whether in the Snowflake platform or in local development environments.
To further reduce the friction that slows down enterprises’ adoption and delivery of AI, Snowflake has introduced new capabilities for vibe coding, improving how users build, deploy, and manage AI-powered data flows across the stack with a new integration with v0 from Vercel.
Other highlights presented during BUILD London 2026 include:
- Semantic View Autopilot – an innovative service that ensures AI agents operate from the same trusted business definitions and metrics, delivering consistent and reliable results.
- Snowflake Postgres – makes enterprise data ready for AI and advanced innovations and enables companies to bring together transactional, analytical and AI applications in a single secure platform.
