Arkion announces today that Fredrik Holmgren will take over as CEO (CEO). He will be tasked with leading the company's next phase with a focus on industrialization, scaling and continued international expansion.
Arkion has evolved from a drone-focused company to a provider of AI-based analysis of inspection and grid data for grid owners and operators in recent years. The company has established a strong position in data-driven approaches to grid maintenance and planning and has grown significantly.
In the next phase, the focus is on scaling up delivery capacity, further developing the platform and strengthening the global presence in line with the increasing demand for data and analytical support to increase operational reliability and efficiency in the electricity grids. To take this step, Fredrik Holmgren, with extensive experience in scaling technology-driven businesses, industrializing operational processes and driving commercial expansion, is being appointed. As CEO, he will prioritize more predictable and scalable delivery, increased execution power in the global go-to-market plan and continued growth.
Per Dellborg, Chairman of the Board of Arkion, says: ”The company has shown that it has a strong product in its segment. Now the next step is to step up commercialization while increasing efficiency in delivery, with continued growth and a high level of ambition in product development. The board is very pleased to welcome Fredrik Holmgren as CEO.”
Fredrik Holmgren comments: ”Arkion has built a strong position at the intersection of AI, critical infrastructure and energy systems. My focus will be to scale the business internationally, increase customer value and strengthen how the company delivers the platform globally – while maintaining pace and innovation.”
The shift took effect on February 23, 2026. Arkion also thanks Louise Gauffin for her leadership and efforts to develop the company and lay the foundation for continued scaling and international expansion.
