Jessica Öberg, CEO of Combitech, leads the company's investments in AI, cybersecurity and total defense in a time of increased demands for societal security and digital resilience.

During the second quarter of 2026, Combitech continued to develop its position as a partner for stronger total defense, a more secure digital infrastructure and future defense capabilities. The operating margin strengthened to 9.5 percent while sales remained stable at SEK 1,331 million.

The first half of the year has been characterized by an environment where geopolitical uncertainty, rapid technological development and increased demands for preparedness continue to shape both society and business. In this development, the right skills, responsible and safe technology and the ability to collaborate across sector boundaries are crucial. Combitech has therefore continued to invest in skills development, method development and advanced computing power, with particular focus on AI, cybersecurity, digitalization and total defense.

As development accelerates and the playing field rapidly changes, it is not enough to develop technology alone. Value arises when human expertise, new ways of working and advanced technologies reinforce each other. That is why Combitech has used AI-based tools to listen broadly to employee perspectives on transformation, development and culture. It is part of the vision The Home for Human Superpower – that Combitech should be a place where employees' abilities are developed together with technology and translated into robust solutions for customers, society and defense.

Cybersecurity that strengthens preparedness and defense

At the same time, the issue of total defense continues to occupy a prominent place in the public debate. The role of business, the need for robust solutions and the importance of building capabilities together are now being discussed in broader circles than before. These are issues that Combitech lifted over several years and as the company's annual Total Defense Report highlights.

An important development in strengthening critical infrastructure is the framework agreement signed by the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) with Combitech in the area of cybersecurity. Through the agreement, Combitech can contribute to developing the protection and interoperability of the communication and information systems that support the alliance.

“We are proud that the NATO Communications and Information Agency has signed a framework agreement with Combitech in cybersecurity. It is a testament to our expertise and our ability to contribute to increased security and collaboration in an international perspective. We also see a growing commitment to preparedness and total defense in the Nordic region, and through strengthened cooperation between business, the public sector and other societal actors, we can build a more resilient society together,” says Jessica Oberg, CEO of Combitech.
