Samsung's integrated software platform, One UI 8, is coming soon and is now available for beta testing, before being rolled out to several of Samsung's Galaxy devices.

One UI is designed to make Galaxy devices easier to navigate and more productive in a natural way. Through a collaborative effort between Samsung and Google, One UI 8 will be released first on Samsung’s latest foldable smartphones this summer, and then gradually rolled out to more Samsung Galaxy devices – allowing users to enjoy a more personalized mobile experience with the latest Android update.

Through open communication, Samsung and Google have shared both design systems and real-time feedback with each other, which has accelerated development and helped One UI 8 become one of the first UI platforms to be based on Android 16.

In addition to being the first generation upgrades to be launched Along with a new smartphone model, the launch of One UI 8 also marks the start of a new rollout pace for UX and AI updates from Samsung. Personalized AI that provides seamless and natural interactions

The official rollout of One UI 8 will pave the way for AI experiences that simplify the user's everyday life, by further developing some of the AI features first launched for the S25 series.

Three different factors make this possible: multimodal features, a UX adapted to the device form factor, and proactive personalized suggestions. Intelligent multimodality lays the foundation for a smoother and more natural AI experience, understanding what the user is seeing or looking at at any given time. A UX designed and adapted to the unique form factor of each Galaxy device also makes it easier for the user to be both productive and efficient. One UI also recognizes different contexts and can thus provide proactive suggestions tailored to the user’s personal habits and everyday life.

AI features like Now bar[1]and Now Brief[2]will be able to provide additional insights and suggestions that make everyday life easier.

With One UI 8, users get an intelligent and personalized AI experience while protecting their data. Samsung Knox Vault, with its dedicated processor and secure memory, isolates sensitive data from other user data so that personal information cannot be accessed either physically or remotely. With One UI 8, you can also choose to manage data only on the device, as several of the Galaxy AI features use AI processes both on the device and in the cloud. In other words, One UI 8 delivers a personalized AI experience without compromising on privacy.

Improved everyday convenience

One UI 8 also comes with smart tools that make everyday routines both easier and more efficient.

The Reminder appwill serve as a great support on the go, where the user can easily manage and share reminders in one place with a simple click of a button – in a view that is understandable even at first glance. It can also be controlled by voice, which makes it easier if you want to add reminders on the go.

Sharing memories with loved ones is also easier than ever with improved Quick Share[3]With a single click on the Quick Share button on the Quick Settings panel, you can send or receive files in a very convenient way.
