GlobalConnect invests in AI-powered service platform for better customer experience

GlobalConnect is investing in an advanced monitoring platform from ScienceLogic that will enable their Network Operations Center (NOC) to anticipate, identify and resolve network and IT-related issues faster. GlobalConnect expects this to further improve the customer experience.

GlobalConnect, which handles more than half of all data traffic in and out of the Nordic region, is investing in an AI-powered monitoring platform from ScienceLogic to streamline its operational processes. The platform replaces multiple separate systems with a unified solution, which will reduce downtime, improve service quality and provide customers with real-time insights into cases. The new AI platform will be used in GlobalConnect's Network Operations Center and improve monitoring of the company's 245,000 km fiber network.

Faster problem solving

This investment will GlobalConnect aims to become the market leader in Service Operations and Support and is therefore investing multi-millions in the new platform.

The AI-powered platform will monitor and manage all services that GlobalConnect offers. Tomasson explains that the goal of the change is to reduce the number of disruptions that customers experience.

The platform automatically identifies faults in real time, AI analyzes the problem, helps manage service activities – whether that means sending a field technician or sending new equipment to the customer – escalates the case to the right technical team and keeps the customer continuously updated on actions and progress. All of this happens within seconds or minutes, revolutionizing the customer experience. Enterprise customers will be able to follow the entire process either via GlobalConnect customer portal or by integrating it with their own IT service management system via standardized APIs.

Fewer manual processes

“The AI platform will replace many of the manual processes we have today,” explains Tomasson. “It continuously monitors the status and performance of the network and provides real-time recommendations for efficiency improvements and scalabilityThis ensures a more stable and seamless experience for our customers, which is crucial as we continue to expand our fiber infrastructure and handle increasing data traffic.”

Increased customer value

By replacing multiple separate monitoring systems with the ScienceLogic platform and using AI and automation via Skylar AI, GlobalConnects customers reduce downtime, relieve their IT teams and focus on innovation.”

GlobalConnect will build and test it new ScienceLogic platform in the coming months and plans to implement it in stages in 2025.
