T.Loop sees data centers as an enabler of a sustainable energy system – not a burden. By recovering waste heat and contributing support services to the electricity system, the industry can create €50–100 billion in new annual revenues and provide a capacity equivalent to 17 nuclear reactors.

“We can’t continue to build data centers in the traditional way. It will put too much strain on the power system. Our solution is to integrate data centers as an active part of the energy ecosystem.”Helena Fagraeus Lundström, CEO T.Loop

These nominations confirm T.Loop's strategic position as a leading innovator in sustainable data center solutions.

T.Loops unique concepts, Data Energy Center®, is redefining the role of data centers. Instead of seeing data centers as mere consumers of electricity, the company is transforming them into active energy resources that can produce heat, balance the grid, and provide capacity during peak consumption. This contributes to the green energy transition and creates new revenue streams for the industry.

With the explosive growth in AI and digital infrastructure stands for data center facing enormous energy challenges. As a prime example, Ireland, Europe's most mature data center market, has reached a point where data centers consume 20% of the country's electricity consumption.

“We can’t continue to build data centers in the traditional way. It will put too much strain on the power system,” says Helena Fagraeus Lundström. “Our solution is to integrate data centers as an active part of the energy ecosystem.”

T.Loop already have two Data Energy Center® in operation in Stockholm and has launched innovative solutions such as TSO Link, which enables data centers to make spare capacity available for grid balancing. The company's vision extends beyond today's nominations – they aim to transform the entire data center industry energy paradigm.
