Every year since 1946, Folk och Försvar conducts the National Conference - Sweden's foremost forum for discussion of security policy, defence, society's crisis preparedness and global security trends. The national conference gathers around 350–400 participants and 60–70 speakers over three days for the dissemination of knowledge, conversation and debate each year. The focus is on world security, Sweden's defence, people's security and society's crisis preparedness.
An important message this year is that both the military and civil defense are the cornerstones of Sweden's common security and that their united development and growth is urgent and a matter for the entire people.
